Our Story

JAL Candles began with a simple discovery in Astoria, New York: the quiet magic of turning wax, scent, and time into something that transforms a room. When we moved to Cyprus, that passion came with us. What started as a personal creative practice has grown into a small-batch handmade candle studio rooted in the Mediterranean light, warmth, and sense of home that define island life.

Every candle is hand-poured here in Cyprus in limited batches. We use premium soy wax for our container candles and specialised pillar soy wax for sculpted and moulded designs. We carefully select fragrance oils for depth and longevity — scents that feel like warm evenings, soft gatherings, and the quiet comfort of a well-loved space.

Our collection includes signature scented candles (Red Grape, Rose, Vanilla and more), decorative mould & sculpted candles, wax flower bouquets, artisan candles, wax melts, gift sets, and custom creations for weddings, baptisms, birthdays, corporate gifts, Easter, Christmas, and other special occasions.
